This Privacy Policy explains how Rabbit Breeding Calculator ("we," "us," "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely in encrypted form). You may optionally provide your name, rabbitry name, phone number, location/address, website, and a logo or profile image.
Data you enter. The app stores the information you choose to add, including rabbit profiles, photos, breeding and mating records, litters, pedigrees, weights, health records, tasks, show results, and financial ledger entries. This data belongs to you.
Photos and camera. With your permission, the app can access your device camera to take photos and scan QR stall cards, and your photo gallery to select existing images. Photos you add are stored in your account so they sync across your devices.
Automatically collected data. We may collect basic technical information such as app version, device type, and error logs to keep the app working and to fix problems.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the app's features
- Sync your data across your devices and back it up
- Send you reminders and notifications you have enabled
- Process and manage your subscription
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve the app and fix issues
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your rabbitry data for advertising.
How Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database and storage provider, with row-level security so that only you can access your own records. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Photos are compressed on your device before upload and stored in secure cloud storage linked to your account.
Third-Party Services
The app relies on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy practices:
- Supabase — secure account authentication, database, and file storage
- Google Play — app distribution and subscription billing
- Google Play Services / ML Kit — on-device QR and barcode scanning
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, the app schedules reminders on your device (for example, pregnancy checks, nest box dates, and due dates). These reminders run locally on your phone, even when offline, and can be turned off at any time in your phone's settings.
Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- Access and edit your data at any time within the app
- Export your data to a CSV or backup file from the app
- Delete your account and all associated data (see below)
- Turn off camera access or notifications in your device settings
Data Deletion
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time. You can do this directly in the app under Settings, or by visiting our account deletion page at https://rabbitbreedingcalculator.com/delete-account, or by emailing us at sarimportfolio@gmail.com. Once processed, your account and all associated records are permanently removed from our systems.
Children's Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our systems.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised policy.
